The chiropractic therapies we use assists us in decreasing pain, and helping our members heal faster and feel better!

Chiropractic Therapies

  • Flexion & Distraction

Flexion Distraction is a gentle, safe, controlled form of traction specifically designed for spinal pain relief. Flexion-distraction therapy is performed on a segmented table that moves as your chiropractor slowly manipulates your spine. The manipulations, combined with the movements of the table, stretch and decompress your spine, relieving your back, leg, neck, or arm pain.

Flexion distraction therapy aims to reverse spinal disc compression by gently stretching your spine.

  • Spinal Traction

Helps to Improve the Motion of Every Joint in the Spine:

Segmental spinal joint extension serves to both increase mobility, as well as to counteract the fatigue and stress that builds from, sitting, bending forward, and gravitational forces that are common to work environments and daily routines.

Helps to Massage & Relax the Back Muscles: Therapeutic rollers simultaneously soothes & relaxes tight muscles, muscle spasms, and trigger points.

  • Dry Needling

Dry needling is a safe and effective treatment performed by skilled, trained physicians, certified in the procedure. A thin monofilament needle penetrates the skin and treats underlying muscular trigger points for the management of neuromusculoskeletal pain and movement impairments.

A trigger point is a local contracture or tight band in a muscle fiber that can disrupt function, restrict range of motion, refer pain or cause local tenderness. When dry needling is applied to a dysfunctional muscle or trigger point, it can decrease banding or tightness, increase blood flow, and reduce local and referred pain.

  • Electrical Muscle Stimulation

EMS, or Electrical Muscle Stimulation, is a non-invasive, drug-free method to strengthen & rehabilitate your muscles by stimulating motor nerves to cause a muscle contraction. Contraction and relaxation of muscles have been found to effectively treat a variety of conditions. An injured muscle usually experiences little if any movement. EMS therapy remedies this by stimulating motor nerves to cause involuntary muscular contractions.

    Benefits

    Managing and reducing pain

    Improving blood flow and circulation

    Strengthens muscles

Facilitates the repair of muscles, tendons and ligaments

  • Cold Laser

Helps to decrease pain and inflammation in order to stimulate the healing process.

Cold laser emits light (phototherapy) that is absorbed by the cell’s mitochondria. In the mitochondria, the light energy is converted into electromagnetic energy, or ATP, which energizes the cells and stimulates the healing process.

    Benefits

    Reduces Pain

    Decreases inflammation and swelling

Speeds up the healing process (strains, sprains, joints)

    Promote tissue healing and regrowth

    Increases blood circulation

  • Ultrasound

Therapeutic ultrasound is one of the most commonly used modalities by clinicians that uses high-frequency acoustic vibrations to produce thermal (increased local blood flow, cellular metabolism, connective tissue extensibility, and reduced pain) and nonthermal (tissue regeneration and wound healing – protein and collagen synthesis, cell membrane alteration) effects in the body’s tissues. The targeted soundwaves can produce deep tissue heating for soft tissue extensibility, injury repair and pain relief.

Best for people suffering from Tendinitis, Joint Swelling, or Muscle Spasms

  • Whole Body Vibration

Whole body vibration machine transmits energy to your body, forcing your muscles to contract and relax dozens of times each second.

    Benefits

    Enhance blood flow

Burn fat and aid in weight loss

    Build strength

    Improve flexibility

    Reduce muscle soreness after exercise

    Decreases cortisol (stress hormone)

Stimulates lymphatic system (to get rid of excess toxins)

    Improves balance

  • Heat Therapy

The use of warm and hot temperatures to treat a wide range of medical issues and improve overall health. Moist heat products and services are usually preferred for penetrating deeper into the muscle tissues and achieving a higher increase in blood flow than dry heat.

    Benefits

    Improving circulation and blood flow

    Increase muscle flexibility

    Relax and soothe muscles

    Heal damaged tissue

    Speeds up the healing process

    Calms muscle spasms

    Reduces pain from stiffness

  • Therapeutic Yoga

Yoga therapy uses yoga practices but with the aim of progressing towards improved physical health and overall wellbeing.

Yoga therapy is designed to address specific issues a person may have. It’s an adaptation of a yoga practice to the needs of a person based on persistent health issues that aren’t addressed in a group class.

Physical health benefits: In addition to helping with mental health conditions, yoga therapy can also improve physical fitness and increase strength, balance, and flexibility. It can also help with physical health conditions such as pain, blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and arthritis.

  • Infrared Sauna

Infrared rays penetrate the body through conversion, which causes deep heating effects in the muscle tissues and internal organs without placing as much burden on the heart.

Our body reacts to the increased heat through the natural cooling process of perspiration. During the perspiration process, acid and waste residues such as toxins, sodium, alcohol, nicotine, cholesterol and potentially carcinogenic heavy metals are removed from the cells.

The pores of our skin open and discharge waste products, while shedding away old skin cells, which leaves the skin toned and cleaned.

    Are Infrared Rays Safe?

Because infrared rays are part of sunlight, they are not only safe but highly beneficial to our bodies on a cellular level.
